Social Media. It's easy today to lose sight of the fact that these tools actually have created some wonderful things in the world. They've reunited lost family members. They've found organ donors. I mean, there were meaningful, systemic changes happening around the world because of these platforms that were positive! But I think we were naive about the flip side of that coin. Yeah, these things, you release them, and they take on a life of their own. And how they're used is pretty different than how you expected. Nobody, I deeply believe, ever intended any of these consequences. There's no one bad guy. So, then, what's the problem? Is there a problem, and what is the problem? ‘The Social Dilemma’ : a sharp-witted dig on our social dilemma.

Review: Manchester by the Sea (2016)

Ada alasan kenapa manusia disebut sebagai makhluk sosial, karena kita butuh orang-orang di sekitar kita untuk dapat menjadi sosok yang lebih dan lebih baik lagi. Ya, memang tidak semuanya positif namun dari sana manusia dapat berkaca untuk kemudian memahami makna dari dirinya dan kehidupan, bukan tidak mungkin bahkan dapat digunakan untuk mengalahkan setan batin dan menyelamatkannya dari jurang “kematian”. Hal tersebut coba ditampilkan oleh film ini, Manchester by the Sea, sebuah proses healing lewat examination terhadap kesedihan with genuine bittersweet, emotion, and sweet sorrow. Heartbreaking and heartwarming, it’s an emotion crescendo, a wondrous drama.
