Movie Review: The Judge (2014)

"Defend your honor."

Dibalik tugas sederhana yang ia punya untuk memuaskan penonton, sebuah film justru tidak punya kesederhanaan itu dalam cara dan elemen yang dapat ia gunakan dan percantik untuk mencapai tugasnya tersebut, dengan syarat utama mampu di kombinasi dan “masak” dengan tepat. Banyak, cerita misalnya, performa dari divisi akting juga, dua hal yang celakanya berhasil digunakan oleh film ini untuk mencuri atensi penonton dengan daya tarik dan pesona ketika ia dimulai. Masalahnya ada di proses “memasak”. The Judge, an overly long and (sometimes) compelling drama.
